http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/619515/urbanization/619515rellinks/Related-Links#

This article is about the rapid changing of cities in terms of urbanisation, which can improve the living quality of people. More and more people would like to move out from the rural area to the urban places. The density of population has thus increased.
Urbanisation is mainly due to the rapid economic growth in the world, which not only allows more people to have permanent settlement in the urban area but also the improvement of transportation systems and technology. The quality of life is getting better and people can enjoy their lives much more. Besides the technology growth, civilisation is another improvement as a result of urbanisation. Since the metropolises are getting wealthier and more schools can be established in the urban places, an increasing number of people can be educated.
It seems that there are a lot of advantages about urbanisation; however, the facilities of urban area are well-provided, there are more problems evolved because of urbanisation. For instance, the increasing population density and extensive development of technology speed up the pollution and overcrowding in the world. More vegetation should be planted for reducing the air pollutants and urban planning should be considered more carefully.
300 WORDS OUTLINING THE THEME
Urbanisation
Urbanisation, is a process in which an increasing proportion of an entire population lives in cities. It is also a transformation of a city.

Everything in the urban area becomes more and more sophisticated and can be controlled by computers. The complex transportation system allows people to travel from place to place every day as if living in a big machine. However, it seems that the rapid and extensive development of urbanisation is going to be uncontrollable as it has hidden the cultural identity and destroyed the natural environment.

Most of the urban area is well planned in a grid form and the majority of the skyscrapers are made of concrete and glass. It seems that there is a lack of natural elements inside these metropolises and the culture and history of one place are immersed in this concrete jungle.
Furthermore, since people are centralised in the hub of the city and the population density is accelerating rapidly, more lands are needed and the scale of each building is getting larger. Vegetation and animals are thus no place to live and the natural environment is exploited due to the expansion of urbanisation. Moreover, pollution is another ‘product’ that generated by urbanisation especially the air pollution and land pollution.

The theme of this video clip is trying to make a contrast between natural environment and concrete jungle. Urbanisation shows the constant growth of a city from a rural place to a well-planned city, but it also hides the natural and cultural sides of the city.
On the one hand, the sophisticated transportation system and the high technology provide a good quality of living environment, it is convenient and efficient for people to live and work in the same place.
On the other hand, the natural habitat of the animals has been occupied and the forests are getting smaller since the expansion of the urban development.

SET

Set:

Set has the meaning of being fixed or solidified. It seems that if something is set, it cannot be changed or is unwilling to change because it is already settled down. Things become stubborn and lazy. It seems that it would be peaceful if everything is set, since there would not be any conflicts or arguments. However, it is more creative and excited if something would like to have a change. Therefore, my videos are to show that it is boring if something is reluctant to change, and things become exciting when they start to change their styles and are willing to go to somewhere else.
